Sales Development Representative

At Motic Digital Pathology, we are driving the adoption of digital medicine by making AI and software technologies approachable for hospitals and labs everywhere. Our solutions are connecting doctors to make better clinical decisions everyday, automating diagnostic procedures to expand service capacity at hospitals, and delivering specialist expertise to patients in even the most remote places. 

 

We believe that bringing our digital pathology technologies to bear on solvable but under-resourced problems is both the best way to promote general adoption of medical digitization and our mandate as a global company innovating for a better tomorrow.

Motic may be a newcomer in the medical space, but we are hardly a novice when it comes to creating technologies to solve deep-rooted problems. We’ve made big waves in the global medical community since launching our first products for digital pathology in 2017, and will be aggressively expanding our footprint and product reach in the global medical market in 2020.

 

We are looking for a smart, eager Sales Development Representative to drive our channel expansion into hospitals, clinics and medical schools. 

 

This is a full-time position based out of our office in San Francisco, CA. You must be authorized to work in the United States.

In this position, you will:

  • Work on the forefront of applied medical AI to provide solutions for the biggest global health epidemics
  • Generate and follow up on hot leads through phone calls, email campaigns, and site visits
  • Expand sales through strategic partnership development with leading hospitals and universities in cancer care
  • Work closely with prospects to discover industry challenges and leverage solutions-based selling techniques to deliver application-specific value to the end user
  • Build market expertise and insight through customer interactions and market research
  • Travel for tradeshows and customer demos, approximately 2-8 trips a year, or up to 30% time
  • Report to the Sales Manager

We are looking for:

  • Experience: a minimum of 2 years in sales, proven experience with technology-based sales and Salesforce
  • Intellectual curiosity: A background in medical sales is not required, but you should expect to learn the language, workflows, and needs of our medical partners alongside the technical specifications of our products
  • Excellent communication skills and follow-through: You are outgoing, empathetic, and accountable in both written and verbal communication
  • Coachability: You are committed to continuous learning and self-improvement
