Vancouver, British Columbia – Motic, a leading provider of digital pathology solutions, today announced that the MoticEasyScan product line of Whole Slide Scanners obtained a Health Canada Class II Medical Device License. MoticEasyScan systems are now certified for Clinical use in Canada, introducing, for the first time, high-quality and affordable solutions to facilitate Digital Pathology adoption in Canada. Health Canada Class II certification will enable pathologists in Canada to use the MoticEasyScan scanners and software as diagnostic tools to scan, share and use whole-slide images for primary diagnosis.

In September 2020, Motic Digital Pathology and Xyall BV, a medtech innovator in molecular pathology, have entered into a multi-year, strategic partnership. Their shared goal is to develop an automated, high-precision table-top tumor tissue dissection solution for hospital-based molecular pathology laboratories.
