Huang, et al. Diagnostic Pathology (2018): 13:29
This paper reports the results of a two-and-a-half-year validation study on telepathology implementation in China for primary diagnosis. MoticEasyScan machines were used to scan frozen section and routine histology slides for 5,233 cases. The study found a concordance rate of over 99% between remote telepathology diagnoses and diagnoses made from the corresponding permanent section slide. The authors concluded that telepathology for frozen section is a promising solution to the shortage of pathology resources in China.
